Frank maintained his sense of humor throughout his battle with dementia, and the malady of symptoms that came with this diagnosis. He had a shunt placed in his brain, which was only a treatment, not a cure for this degenerating condition. Having been diagnosed with a rare brain disorder (1 in 100,000) Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus. It's a testament to the kind of person he was that he could accept, support and love them the way he did. He loved them and treated them as his own. Two children came with his commitment to Donna Bradley and Brittany Gilbert. This was the beginning of a 31 year wonderful journey. After knowing each other for 5 years and dating for 3 years, Frank married the love of his life, Donna Johnson Gilbert.
